Champagne and Sushi at Washington Park Boathouse Benefitting Project Pave
“French Impressionism meets sparkling wines and Sushi”. Renoir’s famous painting “The Boat Party Lunch” was the inspiration for renting the Boathouse at Washington Park for our annual Champagne & Sushi kick off to summer. We started out with a short lecture on champagne and sparkling wines, and then everyone went to find the perfect bubbles and sushi pairing while getting to know the other members and guests of AWS. It was a lovely evening overlooking the lake and enjoying the sparkles and sushi. This charity tasting is replacing our annual charity wine dinner Benefitting Project Pave, providing mental health counseling services to abused children from low income familites. We also hosted a Sumo Wrestling Match with proceeds also going to Project Pave.
